Joey Jordison - Comic Book Cover

Why?

Firtst of all, I had to make a cover for my blog. I wanted to choose something which I really like and something I'm passionate about. That's when I decided to make a cover of Joey Jordison. Because I'm a big SlipKnot fan and I like comic book-style art. I decided to make a tribute piece to the best drummer of all time, Joey Jordison. He passed away last year. Many people thought of him as the best drummer ever.

How?

I found a picture online of him, it's from the tribute video on the SlipKnot YouTube channel. I found the picture astounding and edited it with Adobe Photoshop and later added some things with Adobe Illustrator. My inspiration was comic books, mostly old horror comic books. Copyright of the original picture of Joey Jordison goes to Slipknot. This is not used for any profit.

Poster - Open Up Your Talent

Why?

I had to make poster for an event on the HAN, Open Up..Your Talent. It's an event for CMD and ICT students.

How?

At first, I made another poster. It sadly didn't work out, because I wasn't happy with the finished product. Then I threw all my work away and started with a fresh mind. I was looking at pictures for inspiration and I found a picture of Nevada. I thought about UFO's and aliens. And with aliens, there is abduction. But it had to do something with creativity. That's when I came up with this idea.
